The World Bank Research Observer seeks to inform nonspecialist readers about research being undertaken within the Bank and outside the Bank in areas of economics relevant for development policy. The Tijdschrift voor Economische en Sociale Geografie is a leading international journal on contemporary issues in human geography. Through its articles and special issues and dossiers on topics of interest, it presents actual international research findings in authoritative scientific contributions. The Tijdschrift voor Economische en Sociale Geografie is a channel for the dissemination of new perspectives, ideas and approaches to the study of human geography. The journal, established in 1910, builds on a tradition of empirically and theoretically based research, providing a fruitful interdisciplinary platform for economic and social geography themes. General Guidelines for Authors

Authors will greatly assist the editor by referring to a recent issue of TESG when setting up the headings, abstract, acknowledgements, notes, references, etc. Avoid the use of formatted text including italics, underline, spacing or different fonts.

Title - The total length of the title should be no longer than 72 characters.

Abstract and key words - An abstract should be provided, not exceeding 150 words. Six key words should be presented on a separate line, preferably one for topic, one for locality, one for method and three others.

Headings - Use upper case for first-level headings which should come on separate lines. Second-level headings should be in lower case and followed by a dash - then run on the text on the same line. Do not use more than two levels of headings.

Tables - Each table should contain a clear descriptive caption at the top. Number tables consecutively (Table 1, 2 etcetera). Please embed all tables in your word document, do not submit them as separate Excel files.

Theory and Decision is devoted to all aspects of decision making belonging to such programs, but addresses also possible cross-fertilizations between these disciplines which would represent effective advances in knowledge. Spanish Economic Review will publish scientific articles in any field of economics and management. In contrast with recent trends toward highly specialized journals, we shall emphasize high quality standards while maintaining a broad range of topics. Theory and applications, in any combination, are equally welcome. Small symposia, grouping different papers on a related topic, will be part of some of the issues. Again, these topics can be chosen from a wide spectrum, but we definitely commit to devote space to the European economy.

Spanish Economic Review builds upon the experience of the REE, which was one of the journals through which Spanish economists achieved their convergence process toward standard scientific practices. Only documents in standard pdf or Microsoft Word format should be sent.  All articles must be typed on one side of A4 paper only using double spacing throughout (including any footnotes or lists of references).  In general, articles should not exceed 7,500 words.  Overlong papers will be returned without consideration.  Contributors are also asked to send an abstract, not exceeding 100 words, a list of keywords (20 characters each) indicating the contents of the article AND the relevant Journal of Economic Literature classification number(s).

The full reference list should be typed in alphabetical order, double spaced, on a separate sheet of paper at the end of the article. Submission of a paper will be held to imply that it contains original unpublished work and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere. Mechanical limits will not be applied to the length of articles; however, a high priority will be assigned to concise and lucid exposition. Initial submissions should be prepared following the guidelines below:

•          Papers should be in 12-point font.

•          Papers should be double-spaced throughout: including the abstract, acknowledgments,    footnotes and references.

•          Papers should be single-sided: i.e., typed on one side of the page only.

•          Papers should be in PDF format.

References

Citations in the text or footnotes should give only name of author(s), year of publication, and possibly page numbers. At the end of the paper there should be a section for references. It should be complete with first and last names of authors. References to papers published in a journal should contain the name of publication, volume, month of publication, year and page numbers. References to books should contain the city of publication, publisher, year of publication, and editors or page numbers where relevant. A recent issue of the Review should be consulted for style.
